The Ski Journal - Photobook
February 05, 2010
Last year I was profiled with a 12 page portfolio of my work in The Ski Journal’s annual photobook along side 4 other photographers. This year, they went with a different format. They selected five mountain ranges from around the world - known for providing some of the most epic turns and beautiful scenery - and showcased some amazing images from these famous ranges. A very cool idea indeed. A few of my images made the cut for the Kootenays section..

A photo I took of my good buddy Fraser Sprigings climbing Wicked Wanda WI 4 in the Ghost River Valley landed on the cover of the recent issue of Alpinist Magazine.

This winter I am working closely with Kicking Horse Resort to help develop new images for their upcoming 2010/2011 marketing campaigns. It’s a great partnership as I always spend alot of time here each winter and is easily one of my favorite places to ride. Kicking Horse offers some of the best steeps on any resort around and I tend to think the slackcountry surrounding the resort is the best in Canada. If you love shredding steep couloirs and lines with easy access back to the resort, then this is the place! A few tasty samples of what KH offers..

An opening spread to a feature on famous Canadian Rockies ski mountaineer Chic Scott in the latest issue of Backcountry Magazine. This is from an assignment I did with writer Jeff Burke last april.

A photo of local freeskier Jeff Hawker taken at Revelstoke Mountain Resort ended up as a spread for Private Clubs Magazine in an article about the 2010 Olympics in BC.
